Call the laboratory at your scheduled appointment time
while sitting next to your computer. We’ll give you
a password to get web access to the same image screen used
by the EM operator. You see exactly what the operator sees.
YOUR SEM or ESEM SESSION
One hour is reserved for your session
(the minimum time available). Additional time may be scheduled
in ½ hour increments. “Overtime”, exceeding
the scheduled time is also available in ½ hour
increments (minimum) depending on our appointment schedule.
The SEM and ESEM can hold up to seven mounts at one time.
A one hour web session includes up to 4 mounts. Up to 3 additional mounts
can be purchased per session. Photos are charged
individually.
A session video file can be purchased in either CD or
DVD format.
MULTI-CAST SESSIONS
Multi-casting is provided at no additional
charge. Your colleagues can view the same imaging
you are viewing by using the same password provided to
you. Everyone you provide the password to will have access
to the session. Our bandwidth allows for up to 4
users at one time. NOTE: connection speed will
decrease with additional users. Typical delay time
between the SEM screen and your computer screen is 5-7
seconds. This delay will increase with additional
users.
The telephone conversation will only be between you and
the EM operator. At this time we do not offer teleconferencing
services. You are welcome to set up a conference call
from your own phone system to the EM operator.
ON SITE SESSIONS
You are welcome to schedule an on-site
session at the SEM or ESEM. These are charged at the same
rates as the WEB BROADCAST SESSIONS.
CANCELLATIONS
When an appointment is made, the laboratory
reserves time and schedules its activities and other clients
to meet your reservation. Cancellations can be costly
to us and require that we charge partial fees.
No fee is charged for cancellations made by 6:00 PM EST
(1800 hours) the day prior to the appointment. Cancellations
can be made by sending an email to dhood@microanalytica.com,
or dhood@videEM.com,
or by sending a fax to 305-675-2205. The date time stamp
on the cancellation received must be prior to 6:00 PM
EST (1800 hours) the day before the scheduled appointment.
Cancellations made on the day of the appointment are
charged a partial fee.
Missed appointments are charged the entire scheduled
fee. An appointment is considered missed if the phone
call is not received within 30 minutes of the start of
the session. Sessions started with late phone calls will
terminate at the scheduled termination time, but will
be charged the entire cost of the scheduled session.
IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL
We do not predict there will be a time that
we must cancel your appointment. However, it is always
possible the SEM or ESEM will malfunction prior to your
appointment or some other factor outside of our control
will occur, making it impossible to provide quality
results. In those cases, we will make every possible
effort to re-schedule your appointment at your most
opportune time and offer a 20% discount on the total
cost of the session analysis.
TRANSMISSION TO YOUR COMPUTER
Video streaming is used in this process.
Considerations of access speed and plug-and-play viewer
preferences are necessary. Our system utilizes a multi-processor
Xeon PC connected to a T-1 connection to ensure unlimited
transmission quality from our end. Your connection speed
will determine the quality and size of your reception.
The format is designed for Windows Media
Player 9.0 on Windows Explorer 5.0 or higher.
